A chilly start...

I plan my outfits according to the weather and there are certain days I dread- the cold and wet ones. If only summer was an all year round season. However, I ensure I still give off a trendy feel with my outfits and that is what I was aiming for today. Bad weather is no excuse, to put you off from styling yourself and nor should it be a hindrance on your wardrobe.

My outfit for the day was inspired by the chilly morning. I managed to shoot images of my attire, for about 15 minutes. After calling it quits, a result of not being able to feel my hands… brrr.

A floral print shirt and some trendy black jeans, is what I started the day off with, when the temperature dropped, I opted to throw on my Hilton chequered blazer jacket... Striking poses was the best part. J

Floral shirt- Monsoon.
Jeans- Mango.
Jacket- Monsoon.
Boots- Vinatge.

African Adventure.

Travelling is one of my favourite hobbies. Experiencing different cultures is something, which interests me, as I am learning new things and meeting amazing people.

I remember the very fist place I travelled to- Morocco. A place my sister decided we should visit, out of impulse and the daredevil that I am, I agreed to accompany her. I was super excited about my journey to Africa and enjoyed my vacation there.

Morocco is a very friendly place and at times you feel a tiny bit dubious of all the niceness directed towards you. I can genuinely say, this place if filled with kind people. However, there were people that I tried staying wary of, these people were on a mission to sell counterfeit products at no cost.  The amount of sucking up to tourists I witnessed was unbelievable. Spotting these types of people should be of no problem. Just be alert and steer clear and you will be good to go.

If you are contemplating on traveling to Morocco, you will love everything it has to offer, from the famous YSL garden, to the royal palaces, the markets, the street stalls and small cafés. There is also a city centre, with a modern feel for those who love the city life- with shops ranging from; Zara, Tom Ford and many beauty stores.

Stay safe whilst surfing the net...

We are little fishes in an ocean full of sharks… an analogy, which was once lectured to me by an elder sibling. Till date I bear this in mind and I understand there are people in the world who want to harm you, as well as those who genuinely want the best for you. I am not a fish and I don’t fall for any bait as easily, but that does not mean I am fool proofed and protected. There may be a day when I become a victim, but taking extra precautions may reduce the chances of me, or anyone else for that matter, falling a victim. It could happen in any place, at anytime. It could be here on the net- a place full of sharks and vulnerable fishes. I do apologise for the shark and fish reference; I feel they describe the situation I am about to share with you perfectly. The Internet is the ocean, you are the fish and the sharks are the hackers (criminals), who want to cause you harm.  So here goes…

Just the other day, a friend of mine shared some dreadful news with me, her laptop was hijacked, whilst she was surfing the net. Her screen went blank (locked by a scam screen, requesting money to unlock it) and a message popped up- recognise the image below?

Immediately she thought she had breached some form of law, when logic kicked in she realised it was all a scam. Her laptop had been hacked into, her files, her system, everything. Do you want to know the stupid part? She failed to update her malware security, to detect any virus that was manifesting- had she done this, well I would not be here, typing this post.

I advise you to fully protect your computer device. The net is not a safe place, there are people who will find ways to hack into your machine and it may lead to the extent where they will gain access to all of your files and information. It is better to be safe than sorry. For those of you who have not installed a security system (anti-virus software) on your PC or laptop, I could not stress as much for you to urgently get on that.

For those of you who have received this message, please do not give in to this scam and take precautions- if you have fallen a victim, please consult you local police for advice. Shutdown your device as it may enable the hacker to travel to the heart of your machine and cause a malfunction. Instead, seek professional help from a specialist technician. If you are IT/PC savvy, you can download the free ‘Kaspersky rescue disk 10’, this will help scan and remove any worms, trojans or malware. Other than that, stay safe and continue surfing in style.

Nailed it...

Nails, I am very thankful for them. Try visualising an alternative universe, in which nails are unknown. I know what you are thinking… holy hell! The good news is we do have nails and apart from the obvious, many of us will style our nails to look beautiful or simply styled as a fashion statement.

Here is the best bit… I was shopping at my local beauty drug store, when I stumbled upon the L’Oreal beauty section. Instantly my eyes sprung to the nail polish section and the range of lovely shades dazzled me. The price was a bonus, as many nail polishes can be pretty expensive. My first instinct was to purchase and I did, two bottles to be exact. The good news was the offer- purchase any two bottles for £7!

I felt these were reasonably priced bottles. The colour is very rich and glossy, which  gave my nails a very healthy look. I became an instant fan of this brand and I purchased an additional two, to complete my mini collection. The only let down was the quantity, I felt I ran out of product sooner than I had hoped too. L

Flower Power.

Did I mention spring was one of my favourite seasons? This is the season, which brings us the good news of summer and the climate heats up making way for our wardrobe to be fully utilized.

With seasons changing, so do our personal preferences, whether it is beauty or fashion related, or simple life changes. However, there will always be certain elements, which will stay the same, regardless of seasons and trends. For instance, my love of the two ‘F’s’... yes, you guessed it, food and fragrances. In this context, the latter appeals the most.

Perfumes are something, which I alternate occasionally, depending on my mood. But, there will always be that ‘one’ smell, which will carry you through the years, for me this has been the case, for almost 4 years.

My knight in shining armour, who has accompanied me over recent years, is no other than the golden, Daisy- by Marc Jacobs. Displaying a floral and fresh smell, it makes me feel mellow and I am then compelled to spray more, in larger quantities. This perfume scores me many compliments from family and friends... even strangers!

If you are searching for an all-year-round perfume, which smells awesome, your search has come to an end... this may be what you are looking for… J

Comedy Classics...

Happy bank holiday Monday, I hope you have enjoyed the long weekend. Alas my blogging has not been consistent, due to exams and revision. Nonetheless here it is, my next post, devoted to my comedy filled weekend.

The perfect move marathon starts with a typical Adam Sandler movie; one of my favourite actors, followed by the clan of the Family Guy, then moving onto an oldie; with Jim Carrey, until you get the Hangover and before you know it... Freddy Gets Fingered.

These are a few of my favourite comedies, from my collection-which compromises of over 200 movies. As you can imagine, picking out a few comical ones and narrowing my selection was going to be a tough decision and these were the lucky few.

I recommend you add these movies to your ‘must watch’ list, if you are up for a giggle. For the movie fanatics, you may have already watched these, if so... thats is dandy.
